Accompanied by copies of his Attestation Paper and Service Records. Footnote: Born at April 11th 1918 at Megnantic, Quebec, Elie Desbiens enlisted with the Canadian Army on September 27th 1943 at Levis having been working as a shipbuilder. Fighting with Les Fusiliers Mont Royal, Desbiens was killed in action July 28th 1944 during the allies drive towards Caen. He is buried
