The style and the amount of gilding lost make me think it is pretty old

Very early 20th century

Their size and their make-do resourcefulness makes me think perhaps they worn born at a restaurant

I would treat it as a drawing and hang it on the wall

with a Helen Henkel having put her own stamp on it through watercoloring a dozen or so of its many plates

Pure potential, and just beautiful things. I really love the c. 1950s graphics on the box holding this near half gross of (mostly) Reliance Pen and Pencil Co.
