Description
7 3/4” l x 7/8” x 7/8” and in very good condition
This incredible carving shows some damage--missing part of the tail (hard to know how long it once was)
I am guessing she was African American
I am not sure the age but might guess 1940s or so
with what looks to me to be "The Bear" written at top left then crossed out
19th C. Graphite School Drawings Lot #5: Birds holiday decor 7 3/4” l x 7/8”As you surely know by now, nothing delights me more than old drawings, the more naive the better. These birds are from a larger group of 19th c. graphite drawings I found yesterday at a show in New Hampshire, which I've divided into sets so many fabulous little animals! . Nice detailing on these, especially how the tiny seed or acorn dangles from the branch just in front of the top one! All apprx 5 1 8" x 4". All in very good condition.
