Painted Wooden Folk Art Wood Duck in Excellent Palette fishing decoy It's definitely a rare one

It's definitely a rare one and I think wonderful from tip to toes

one is a little narrower at about 2 1/2" across

This wonderful little wooden stool shows at least 150 years of love and several layers of paint below its current (perfect) orange

perhaps 18th century in fact

It appears that it once carried some sort of load atop its back

It is signed Paul E. Bickford of Southhampton NH on the underside of the base, indicating, I assume, that its maker was pretty pleased with their efforts, too. Theres a repaired and painted over split on the yellow of the legs; I might guess this was made in two pieces to begin
