Haddu is shown seated, in Arabic dress and bearded, with a sword cradled loosely across his lap. Behind is an architectural pillar with an inscription within a floral border: 'His Excellency Hamet ben Hamet Ben Haddu Ottom Ambassador Extraordinar from the Emperor of Morocco to his Majesty of Great Brittainne in the Yeare 1682.'
