CA potter (1916-1991) who created this gorgeous lilttle vase

The painterly white and inky dark blue glazing around the body of the vase has been incised to reveal the black slip underneath

as described in the press release for an exhibition of his original drawings at Vermont’s  Brattleboro Museum & Art Center

Almost as good is the matter of fact message on the back: "This really happened in Somersham church. The old clerk died a short time ago." Approx 3 1 2" x
