Weingut Ziereisen Jaspis Syrah, Baden, Germany 2016 Cheesecake Smooth palate (Meunier)The 2016 Syrah Jaspis is intense, ripe and fresh on the nose, lovely aromatic and pure, with flinty, chalky and peppery notes. The palate is fleshy, intense and velvety textured, with fine tannins and good concentration, fruit and grip. Ripe and mealy tannins. A pure and fleshy character. Good length and ripe black fruit flavors. A bit too oxidative and less focused perhaps, at least for my personal tastes. 92 Pts Wine Advocate
