2022 Jean-Pierre Robinot Les Vignes de l'Ange L'Iris, Loire, Vin de France Domaine de l'Octavin Planted from 1907 to 1917Chenin Blanc from their oldest vines, which are over ninety years of age. This was pressed straight to barrel and spent eighteen months in levage, rendering a wine of rare complexity. Reflecting the vintage, this is a little tighter wound than previous years, displaying pristine fruit and real elegance. A wine of impeccable balance and poise, it should unfurl beautifully as time goes on.
